Sire:Border Patrol (Kid Rock son and class winning yearling crossbred, Sedalia 2011)
Dam:Kinsley 943 DONOR - "732" Daughter
Bred To:FLATLINER (Sole Custody x Rehab's Full Sister) AI bred, ram owned by Dee Brother's.
Approx. # of Lambs:Twins
Approx. Due Date:1/20/2018
Notes/ Comments:I pictured this ewe for my last sale but just I just couldn't let her go at the time. After some serious debate, I've decided to make her available to show the commitment I have to making these bred ewe sales a success. It's hard to part with one like this because the Border Patrol daughters have been valuable contributors to my program and she's one of the elites in that sire group. In fact the 5 Border Patrols I have on this sale are the last ones I have left. 261's mother was a donor ewe here, one of 261's triplet brothers was 2nd in a Hamp class at the American Royal, she's raised one stud buck that sold off the farm and her Fastert 54 daughter sold for $1600 to SD. Even with that impressive resume the hardest part of letting her go might be what she's carrying in the oven. 261 sells bred to Flatliner, a March born Sole Custody son that Dee Brothers raised out of Rehab's twin sister. Those that have seen him can attest, he's one trendy, killer ribbed sheep with top shelf muscle and shape and had he been fertile this summer there's no telling how much semen the Dee boys would have sold out of him. Unfortunately, he only provided one good jump of semen during the AI season this year and I was fortunate enough to breed 15 ewes to him as the first customer through the barn on the last AI date this year. In subsequent jumps that day the semen wasn't concentrated enough for AI use and he was unsuccessful covering live ewes this year due to his lack of maturity. Simply put there are just a handful of ewes bred to Flatliner in circulation so lot 1 is literally your only opportunity this year to purchase a ewe bred to this exciting young sire and on top of it you're getting a powered up, donor-level brood ewe in the process. You can drag your feet and wait until next year when everyone knows how good Flatliner is or you can get out in front of the curve and have a son of him breeding ewes by next fall. The choice is yours.

Approx. Due Date:3/15/2018
Notes/ Comments:Here's the only Trigger granddaughter in this sale and she's got an impressive track record behind her. Not only was 310 a show ewe here but in production she's raised a sale sheep at the San Antonio Stock Show, a wether that was 7th middle weight division at our state fair (only 3 divisions in the show), a $1200 Chrome daughter and a keeper T-Dub daughter. Phenotypically, 310 is a super correct, good bodied ewe with a photogenic side view and more than enough dimension to get big things accomplished. Her mother was my favorite Wizard (Bam son) daughter. Road Trip should provide an extra shot of rear muscle and white leg wool to this mating and the babies should be the ideal age and build to make some waves on the southern show circuit.

Dam:Johnson 303 - Trigger daughter
Bred To:FUZZBALL (Post x Double Bred White Rock). AI bred, ram owned by Viking Genetics.
Approx. # of Lambs:Twins
Approx. Due Date:1/20/2018
Notes/ Comments:I bred a small group of ewe to Fuzzball this summer and 385 will be the only ewe bred to him that I'm parting with this year. Despite all the semen sold on him, I haven't seen another ewe bred to him offered for sale anywhere in the country this fall. 385 is a really attractive, sweet profiling Border Patrol daughter that was fortunate to inherit the Johnson hide and touch from her Trigger mother. 385 has raised a keeper daugter and every one of her male sheep has sold above my averages each year. Bred to Fuzzball I'm expecting her best one yet. His front end elevation, shallow rib construction and showring look should just enhance the postives in 385 but it's his freakish white leg wool that could really cement this one as a next level mating. So I've alreay had the calls; "why would you sell one like her to bred to Fuzzball if you don't have many bred to him?" I'll just answer that with a quote from the former MN Viking Randy Moss....."Straight cash homie."

Approx. # of Lambs:Twins
Approx. Due Date:1/30/2018
Notes/ Comments:This Jagger daughter has really earned her keep here since I bought her after winning multiple jackpots as a lamb. I sold her 2015 Chrome ewe lamb off the farm, her 2016 Shyster wether went to TX and her 2017 Quantum buck lamb sold on my 2nd spring online sale as an intact male for $3000; all said, she's consequently she's averaging just short of $2000 on 3 head. 3426 could have benefited from a rear view shot as she's one of the most shapely females in the sale and her hard muscle and big pin shape are a perfect compliment to the skeletal build, body shape and Hamp features that Chrome typically stamps in the next generation. Please note, this ewe is a poor milker on one side but has done a good job raising 2 last year and 1 this year in the same condition.

Approx. Due Date:1/20/2018
Notes/ Comments:I purchased 383's mother from Wade Franklin off an online bred ewe lamb sale in 2010 and 383 is the best one she ever raised here. The Franklin ewe was absolutely blessed with muscle dimension, power and a huge hip and those traits are one's 383 seems to stamp in her babies as well. 383 has sold a stud buck to MN, raised 2 keeper daughters and her Chrome wether won a class at the MO state fair last summer. When it came time for mating decisions this summer I kept it pretty simple here. 383 throws as much hip as any ewe on the place so I bred her to Rehab, a buck you might protect on hip because it's one of the only areas he's not truly elite. An elite 3 year old carrying twins for late January.....it's just hard to go wrong with lot 5.

Bred To:SOLE CUSTODY (Joint Custody x Rack City/Tundra) AI bred, ram owned by HD Genetics.
Approx. # of Lambs:Twins
Approx. Due Date:1/20/2018
Notes/ Comments:This is one of my last 3 Big Block daughters out of a set of 15 that I originally kept back in 2011. 141 was my favorite out of a set of triplet ewe lambs that were all retained as lambs (one of only 2 times I've ever done that). Since then she's done a fantastic job over the last few years. Her daughter in 2013 was one of the best females my Johnson buck ever sired. Plus she put a Diamond Eyes daughter back in the program and sold a buck lamb off the farm in 2014, lost a keeper quality Chrome daughter in 2015 and I kept a pair of high end Scarface daughters out of her last year. 141's sire, Big Block was bred by Duffey, purchased by Franklin and eventually used to build foundation females for Wade, Alan Cover, N&H, Clay Webber and here in my program. Why all the fanfare? Because the daughters are hot property and consistently make Hampy, stout constructed sheep that are better than themselves. 141 sells bred to Sole Custody, who's hard muscle, great hide and huge pin shape are great compliments to the rugged power and Hamp features of the Big Block bloodline.

Bred To:REHAB (Johnny Manziel x (Diamond Eyes x Poker Face)). AI bred, ram owned by Dee Brother's.
Approx. # of Lambs:Single
Approx. Due Date:1/20/2018
Notes/ Comments:The T-Dub (Trunk x Wooly Mammouth) bloodline has laid a major part of the foundation for Travis Hagen's and Clint Cummings' programs in CA and after traveling out there in 2013 and seeing those sheep in person, I opted to use some semen later that fall. I didn't get a huge group of T-Dub lambs in 2014 but the ones I got were the kind that left you wanting more. The best one of that group became Scarface (sire of Quantum), a ram that I raised that, along with Chrome, started really shaping my program going forward. Besides Scarface, I had some really nice wethers in that group and 407's twin brother sold as a ram to Clint Cummings and Kevin Bloomquist. 407's Troy (Leo son) sired mother was one of the top 2 ewes out of a group I purchased directly from Brian Johnson in 2010. I'll be honest, I don't have many T-Dub daughters so it's really hard to offer her for sale but she's already put 2 Chrome daughters back in the program, I'm in numbers reduction mode this fall and you don't drum up interest in these sales by selling common ones. Rehab's contributions of elite shag and Winfrey influenced touch and hard muscle shape to this mating mean the potential is here to absolutely knock it out of the park. So pray for a male sheep and let the bander collect some dust on the shelf next spring.

Notes/ Comments:This is a rare opportunity to own a double bred Border Patrol ewe that’s just a 2 year old and has a bright future ahead of her. As a ewe lamb she had a high end keeper Quantum daughter and her male sheep went to TX. This spring she had a nice pair of male Chrome lambs that sold well to MN and KS. This is a great bodied, well built female with tremendous skeletal quality and plenty of muscle going away from you. Her Road Trip twins next spring should be crazy Hampy with the kind of design and shape that always get you noticed in the showring. Expect big things on this mating and bid accordingly!

Approx. # of Lambs:Twins

Notes/ Comments:This girl is the oldest ewe in the sale but her track record is arguably the best of the group. 1574 is a Guywire granddaughter, a former donor ewe and her 2012 Border Patrol wether (pictured) was an elite sheep that won a class at the HYSLC Fall Classic. Craig Green had big plans for that sheep that fall and in Texas over the winter but he suffered a freak hind leg injury and never made it into the show ring again. Fortunately, 1574's biggest mark on my program has been with the numerous high end daughters that she's produced. The twin sister to the wether I wrote about was my high seller on last year's fall bred ewe sale and went to Wheatons (pictured). Her 2014 Fastert 54 daughter and a pair of 2015 Chrome daughters are legit and special females around here and one of the Chromes raised my high selling ram lamb (half interest) on my 2nd spring online sale this year for $6750. So if you like to buy ewes with a high ceiling to make great ones and you can tolerate a little extra age then you should have lot 9 circled big and bold come Sunday night.

Notes/ Comments:The upside on this Border Patrol daughter is that she's raised 3 keeper daughters out of 3 different rams in the last 3 years. Her Quantum and Scarface daughters are awfully good and her Motherload daughter was the mother of the $3751 high selling lot 1 ewe (pictured) on my online bred ewe sale earlier this month. Unfortunately, she's yet to deliver a male sheep so hopefully she'll have the first one for her new owner. The Chrome x Border Patrol cross has been a go-to mating for the last few years and her twin sister bred that way raised a 5th place wether at San Antonio a couple years back so this feels like a mating that's destined for success.

Notes/ Comments:There's a few different rams named Bonafide in circulation but this ewe was purchased from Jimmy Johnson and her sire is also the sire of Diamond Eyes. I visited Jimmy's program in 2012 and 1887 was my pick of the ewe lambs Jimmy sold in his online ewe lamb sale that summer. She was delivered to Sedalia and everyone that saw her on my trailer was jealous she was going home with me. She's long necked, beautiful fronted and has tremendous rib shape for one this attractive and high quality in her design. Phenotypically, you would love to have 50 just like her, she's maternal as hell and does a great job in the jug and on top of that she's been a profit center here. In 4 lambings she's sold 2 stud rams, a nice wether to WI and 2 ewe lambs off the farm. She had May borns this spring due to a fertility issue with her service sire last fall and that late lambing group didn't get sheared my other ewes in October. Instead she was sheared the morning of these pictures and she's only slotted at the end of the sale order because the optics of her picture seemed out of place in the middle of this group.

Notes/ Comments:Well if you know anything about my program, then you know how instrumental Chrome has been in driving the progression and development of my flock. Chrome was the product of using Diamond Eyes on a first time lambing Big Block daughter that I thought had the best chance of making a stud buck and boy did I guess right. Since then, Chrome's mother has become my most frequently flushed donor ewe and I have 5 full sisters to Chrome in the program and not one of them has missed yet. There's no doubt there are several nice Diamond Eyes sons scattered around the country but I honestly wouldn't trade this guy for any of them. In the last few years he's put wethers in the sale at San Antonio and the MN State Fair, had class winners at the MO state fair and sired 2 reserve wether dams at our state fair 4-H show. But most importantly he has propegated a whole swatch of wide built, great bodied. stout constructed daughters that are consistently laced with high end shag and build quality rarely found with such uniformity in a sire set. Simply put, alot of my best lambs the last couple years are out of the Chrome daughters. Semen was collected, froze and is stored at Iowa State University. Please note, these are 0.5cc straws, which are double the size of the 0.25cc straws that are more common in the sheep industry. Consequently, your technician may be able to utlize less than a full straw per ewe when breeding.

Sire Name:Road Trip

Sire:Shoes (Fat Lip x Despain 100 (Supreme Ewe San Antonio, 2014)

Notes/ Comments:I'd been searching for the right ram with a bit of outcross genetics to integrate into my program when I found Road Trip at Minahan-Hansen Livestock last year. Right out of the gate, I fell in love with his hip shape, powerful twist and stifle and stark white hide and leg wool. As a late March born, I was only able to utilize him late last year on ewe lambs and his April born lambs this spring contained little throw away with the vast majority selling to TX. One thing I really like about Road Trip is his ability to generate a set of male sheep that are deeper and higher quality than the females in the group. In my opinion, that's one of the harder things to find in elite sires in any species. The other thing that really got me exctied about Road Trip was the special females he has woven into his pedigree. His mother (pictured) was a high dollar Woodshed daughter that came from Franklin and his paternal grandmother (also pictured) was the Supreme ewe at San Antonio in 2014. They're both the kind of females everyone likes to own and provide tremendous maternal strength to his genetic package. If you like moderate, big assed sheep with shallow chest floors and an abundance of white leg wool then get don't let this opportunity slip by. Consequently, your technician may be able to utlize less than a full straw per ewe when breeding.

Item:SEMEN - 3 Units
Sire Name:Johnson 279
Scrapie:QRNN
Sire:Trigger
Dam:Legacy
Notes/ Comments:After looking through my semen inventory I'm opting to add some Johnson 279 semen to the sale. 279 is a Trigger son that was my lead sire for 3 years here. He's a really round ribbed, hard muscled, great hided buck with a much more moderate frame size and extra leg wool when compared to many out of that genepool. Although he did a great job here when he was still alive, there's just more stout boned, Hampy ewes (the kind he works the very best on) in circulation today than there were 5 or 6 years ago when I started using him. Expect 279 to stamp great front ends and chest floors in his lambs and from there back they'll be really round in their rib design and should handle great down there tops and be loaded with stifle and lower shape. If you're looking for some crossbred influence to bring back some terminal touch and handling quality to your Hamp based ewes get on board here. Semen was collected, froze and is stored at Iowa State University. Please note, these are 0.5cc straws, which are double the size of the 0.25cc straws that are more common in the sheep industry.
